In 1945 Dr. Julius Mastro began earning the respect of parents and doctors by professionally fitting children's shoes and helping to manage the nuances of feet needing more specialized care and attention. Since then, Mastro Shoes has been owned and operated by three shoe families whose sincerity with an interest in educating customers about footwear and its relationship to health.

Our mission is to help people from the foot up through increasing awareness of proper fit and good footwear in maintaining overall good health. We have Certified Pedorthists (foot pharmacists) in both our Summit, NJ (WalkWell Shoes) and Bernardsville, NJ (Mastro Shoes) locations. Our staff works with many healthcare professionals in the area, and is available to present workshops and attend health fairs.
